Friday – Bluebell Railway beer fest with shuttle bus from Haywards Heath to Sheffield Park.
12 Beer festival opens this is to be the place for all to meet up. There is a shuttle bus that
runs from Haywards Heath (where we will return to after meeting at the festival) we
believe the return ticket for the bus is £6. Please note there is also 360º Brewery next
to the beer festival which is worth visiting.
19 Haywards Heath to Heathen Brewery – The Hop Sun – table booked.
21 Suggestion to start making way back to station to complete the evening, there are
various pubs on route which are worth visiting, you can also visit these on the way up
to the brewery before 7. The Tap, The Star and The Lockheart (note, Grape and Grain
off license nearby does draft beer takeaway). There is also Hairy Dog brewery,
suggestion would be a taxi for anyone wishing to include this as it is a few mile
distance from Heathen Brewery and it’s a busy road to negotiate using the bus.
There should be a wood cask on at The Evening Star in Brighton either Friday or Saturday,
which day will not be know until the weekend, therefore will be advised then, suggestion will
be to end the evening there for anyone staying in Brighton.

There is also the Patch which is close by all of the later pubs but this is a very small
establishment so we cannot all fit in there at once. Most of the pubs do good food and are in
the GBG. To end the evening there is also The Royal Oak which is worth visiting and/or
back to Brighton for the wood cask at The Evening Star (if Saturday is the night!)
Sunday – Eastbourne
Suggest meet by noon in Cornfield Garage which is the Wetherspoons not too far from the
station for breakfast (spoons breakfast finishes 11.30). Maps will be provided on the
weekend for all of the pubs for all days, a suggested crawl will be given for Sunday outlining
the main pubs which are best to visit but it will be up to people where to go to give the freedom to plan what’s best as people may be traveling home.
